I'm delighted to announce that after not being available for a few months, LOVE, AN INDEX is back in print and in stock. Please support my excellent publishers, the McSweeney's Poetry Series, by purchasing the book directly from the publisher's website, linked below. (Worth noting that at the time of this posting, the book is CHEAPER in the McSweeney's store than it is at certain other massive online retailers....)

While I was traveling on the Amy Lowell and trying to add German to the list of languages I can function in, LOVE, AN INDEX has been finding its way into new tongues thanks to some extremely wonderful poets in Norway, Mexico, and Italy.
In Norway, Nils-Øivind Haagensen has translated LOVE, AN INDEX (the poem) into a beautifully-bound chapbook, just released. You can have a gander here, if you want.
In Mexico, Jose Luis Justes Amador has brought most of the book's poems into gorgeous Spanish-language versions, appearing in some of that nation’s most exciting literary publications. You can see some examples here, here and here.
And in Italy, where I was living when I began the book, and where much of LOVE, AN INDEX takes place, and thus especially dear to my heart, Marco Bartoli and Paola Silvia Dolci have rendered several of the "Index" pieces into Italian. Interested readers can start here.

She gets asked about books a lot, it seems, because she keeps mentioning LOVE, AN INDEX online - here, she champions the book on Twitter, here she puts in her 'best books of 2014' list and tells us that she gave Nora Ephron a copy of the book as a gift, here she and Miranda July list the book on their shelf (with my amazing publisher, Dave Eggers). Thank you, Lena. Here's to women lifting up each other's voices, and helping each other's stories to be heard.
